Kolomenskoe estate

From the 15th century, Kolomenskoe served as a summer country residence for the Grand Dukes of Moscow and Russian Tsars. Due to this fact, a rich architectural heritage was formed in the area. The most significant attractions is the Ascension Church, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage monument. Another three architectural landmarks are located in the immediate vicinity of the Church: St. George the Victorious Bell Tower (16th c.), Water Tower (17th c.) and Hunting Pavilion (19th c.).
